'84 kicks off their 40th at their alma mater

Last night, the Class of 1984 returned to campus and kicked off their reunion weekend in true Lancer style!   Despite the lingering effects of Hurricane Helene, the group’s dedication was unstoppable as they reunited for an evening of fun, laughter, and nostalgia.

The night was filled with incredible moments: reconnecting with classmates, enjoying delicious food and drinks, and getting a firsthand look at the latest campus updates during tours led by Alumni Relations Director Brian Heidorn ’86.   A special highlight was the engaging address from President Mike Overbey ’91, who shared exciting news about our beloved alma mater.

The celebration continues today as we wish the Class of '84 all the best as they gather to watch one of their own perform with his band, The Brownstones, at Hollywood Casino!

Cheers to the Class of '84 for making this weekend unforgettable—rain or shine!
