Congratulations to this year’s 2021 Hall of Achievement Award Winner - Jerry Doerger ‘78
Our Hall of Achievement Award Winner is not a stranger to the community of La Salle High School.
After graduating from Wisconsin in 1982 he began a five year career in the NFL.
After his NFL career came to a close, he started his 35 year engineering career.
He can be seen on the De La Salle building wall out by the stadium.
He can be seen on the sidelines at numerous of our football games.
He has contributed to our board of directors for 10 years.
He has volunteered for our alumni phonathon for three years.
He was a coach for the Tower Titan football program for 10 years.
Outside of our building he has been involved with:
- St. James Father’s Ministry for 28 years
- St. James school board for 3 years
- St. Rita’s Board for 10 years
- On the Miami View Golf Club board for 2 years
- And worked with the American Heart Association for 5 years
While working on all of this he was able to raise his four children

Jonathan a 2007 grad
And Jerome a 2004 grad
This was accomplished with the assistance of his lovely wife Rita whom as a nurse was also involved in our drama board for 3 years.
