Alumni Band Event
Hello! My name is Jonah Hubauer, and I am the Band Director at La Salle High School. This year, we will be holding a brand new event called the Alumni Concert Band, where all La Salle band alumni are welcome to get together and perform a concert to benefit the Performing Arts at La Salle. Below is info for the event and a link to sign up:
INFO: The Alumni Concert Band is a new event being held this year on SATURDAY, MAY 10th, from 8 AM-5 PM, concert at 6:30 PM. The event will be a one day, all day event, rehearsals running throughout the day with breaks and meals in between. The current, tentative schedule is this:
- Check-In/Arrival (Breakfast Provided) - 7:30-8 AM
- Morning Rehearsal (Breaks throughout) - 8 AM - 12 PM
- Provided Lunch - 12-1 PM
- Afternoon Rehearsal (Breaks throughout) - 1-5PM
- Provided Dinner - 5-6 PM
- Concert Prep and Warm-Up - 6-6:30 PM
- Concert - 6:30 PM
Once the final roster of those attending have been completed, people who filled out the form will be sent part assignments as well as a Google Drive link with all the music for you to print off. It is expected that you look over the music at least a little bit before the day of the event. If you need your music sent to you physically, please make sure to fill out the mailing address section.
The goal of this event is to showcase where music has lead our alumni in their lives, whether it lead to a career in music, a hobby you still enjoy, or maybe it was the friends and connections you made in band at La Salle that you still hold dear today (Originally this was meant to be in March for Music In Our Schools month, but scheduling conflicts had other ideas, oh well!). At the concert, I will ask volunteers to tell their music story in between songs, so if that is something you are interested in, please check the option.
